I'll try to make this short. I'm 18. In college and I have a 20 year old brother who's also in college. I was kicked out a few weeks after my 18th birthday (long story...but it wasn't because I was a bad son. I ended calling the police on my dad for attacking me but he wasn't arrested). I currently live with my brother (not the 20 year old. My other brother, who's 27) and I'm moving in with my new roommate in a few weeks. I pay my share of the rent with my student loans. To get to the point. My mom was behind on child-support for years after my parents divorced. Because of that, the Fed suspended her driver's license for several years and took the Child Support money out of her paycheck and sent it to my dad. I was kicked out in November. My dad still receives child support and I don't get any of that money. What can I do? We don't talk and even if I did, he isn't going to send me any of that money if I asked. I think this is especially unfair since my dad and his new wife have a house and 4 cars (three of which are a Corvette, a Mercedes and a BMW)....meanwhile, I can't get find a job and I'm living off of my student loans.
